CGR Arctic Marine AS (CGR) is a design and engineering company. We have niche experience within gas and chemical storage, gas processing as well as ship design. CGR's business model is to provide total package solutions to shipyards based on in-house core technologies and concepts.

The Liquid Methane Bunkering Vessel
The Liquid Methane Bunkering (LMB) 6000 m³ vessel is designed for simplicity when it comes to LNG handling, manoeuvrability and environmentally friendly port operations. The masterpiece design is done in-house in cooperation with China's leading ship design house, SDARI. AIP class approval has been granted.

The vessel has reduced energy consumption and hybrid energy supply. An essential feature of the cost-efficient design is that it only has one cargo tank. CGR holds a Chinese patent for single-tanked bunkering vessels. The LMB vessel also features modular (containerized) machinery systems and subsystems as well as cargo handling system. The LMB vessel’s modular approach simplifies the building process, reduces cost, and offers market-leading construction time - ideal for fast track projects.
The LMB vessel also carries a Cryogenic Gas Recovery (CGR) System on board. The CGR unit enables the vessel to offer additional services and effectively manage vapor returns and boil-off gas.

The CGR Plant
CGR Arctic Marine AS has developed a compact and transportable multi-purpose recovery plant for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). The Cryogenic Gas Recovering Plant is a process plant built into a 10-foot container unit. The system can recover any hydrocarbon gas from containment systems and pipe networks. The CGR technology has been in operation since 1999.
The CGR system utilises liquid nitrogen as a heat exchange fluid. In the heat exchange process, hydrocarbon gases are liquified close to the freezing point, liquid nitrogen is vaporised and can be used as purge gas of containment systems. Thus, a cargo system can be purged with nitrogen, while all remaining gas atmosphere is simultaneously recovered without emissions to the atmosphere.
The CGR plant is a multi purpose unit and can be used as a:
Vapour recovery unit during gas freeing and purging operations of cargo containment systems
Vapour recovery unit during gassing up and cooling down operations
Reliquefication/Cooling unit for liquefied gases
General recovery unit in the chemical industry
